小红帽不是安徒生童话。小红帽是德国童话作家格林的童话《小红帽》中的人物。
格林兄弟曾在19世纪收集到小红帽的两个独立的德国版本，第一个版本出自珍妮特·哈森普夫卢，后一个为玛丽·哈森普夫卢。格林兄弟将第一个版本作为故事之主体，把第二个作为续写。格林版本的小红帽收录于1812年之第一版《儿童与家庭童话集》中。在格林兄弟的续写内容，是出于当时读者的审美的。格林兄弟版的《小红帽》较老版本而言委婉许多，少了许多阴暗的主题。
